Audit Assistant to Audit Assistant Manager (November 2017 to June 2023)

Main responsibilities:

- Manage a portfolio with various sizes, listed and group entities including logistics, transportation, consumer goods, manufacturing and real estate to report to local tax authority and stakeholders

- Audit missions of statutory and consolidated accounts under Vietnamese Accounting Standards (“VAS”), International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”) and audit internal control process to conclude on its effectiveness and identify control deficiencies to recommend necessary changes for improvement (US-SOX, K-SOX)

- Design audit strategy and conduct to address the business and audit risks by analyzing and communicating with the Board of Management on planning financial results to better understand company performance

- Communicate and manage the allocation budgeting for resources to keep workflow under control timely and high-quality deliverables for stakeholders completed efficiently and effectively

- Take fully responsive and clever to client demands, interpret and handle the problems that arise most professionally to ensure the client appreciates the value of the audit service

- Collaborate with advisory teams to review the business cases, forecast cash flow management to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions

- Coaching and mentoring team members on partner and client requirements, soft skills, auditing approaches, client business model, and its implication on accounting of VAS and IFRS to build both knowledge and a supportive working spirit on the engagement team

- Preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports and all schedules as required by Management and by Vietnamese government

- Monitor for cash flow management & bank transfers, ensure all payments are well supported with source documents.

- Liaison and cooperation with other departments (Procurement, Marketing, Legal) on identified changes to simplify the end-to-end process

- Join in the project "Tax Health Check Nationwide" for the 2015 and 2016 comprehensive report with impact, clear documentation, and detailed course of action/ proposed documents to ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations 

- Contribute to the "PRPO Direct purchase" project for the marketing department to assist in the preparation and monitoring effective of budgets on the Oracle system
